Please read Patrick’s Bio:
“I started Tennis at age 10 and played for Fendalten Tennis Club in Christchurch. I then progressed to competitive match play where I won singles and doubles Canterbury titles in 12, 14, 16 and 18 year old age groups. I have also won Nelson, West Coast and South Island titles and was placed runner up at Nationals when i was 14. I took a break from Tennis when I was 18 for three years but then started training hard once again and represented Edgeware Tennis club in Christchurch in Premier Mens at number 1 position. I then traveled to Stuttgart Germany to play semi professionally for a club, this is where I played my best tennis and had some great success and learned a lot about different surfaces, mental strength and strategy. When I came back from Germany I moved to Dunedin to study a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health, Physical Activity and Wellness, during this time I played Tennis for Otago .
I have been coaching Tennis since I was 14 and have experience working with a variety of levels of players and have attained an Assistant Head Coach qualification as well as completing a Tennis NZ Hotshots course recently. Having a Bachelors Degree in Physical Activity provides me with being able to offer more to clients on every level. I have managed Tennis Camps and summer coaching programs for juniors. I worked as a Tennis Coach for Julia Scott in Dunedin for three years while I was studying, in this time i coached and managed Otago Tennis teams.
I look forward to meeting you all at the Taieri Tennis Club this summer.
